My Timberwick candle smells wonderful and is burning beautifully but does not seem to have the crackling sound? Can you tell me why?
Yes! Our timberwicks are made from actual wood. Since this is a natural product, each wood wick is unique. Inside the wood there are tiny pockets of fluids, such as water and sap. As the wood burns the fluids heat up and release, causing the crackle sound. These pockets of fluids in the wood are created naturally, causing each wood wick to sound different at different stages of the burn cycle, depending on where these pockets of fluid are encountered by the flame.
